IABC NL Recognizes Communications Excellence at 2018 Pinnacle Awards Gala

St. John’s - The International Association of Business Communicators Newfoundland and Labrador Chapter (IABC NL) celebrated excellence in the field of communications last night (June 14) at its 2018 Pinnacle Awards gala at Spirit of Newfoundland in St. John`s.  

IABC NL is proud to come together with our talented colleagues and celebrate excellence in communications within Newfoundland and Labrador. We want to thank everyone who took the time to apply for our Pinnacle Awards this year. Your dedication and talent is crucial to the continued growth of our profession here at home. I would also like to congratulate all of this year’s winners for being shining examples of excellence for the marketing and communications community.”

The event was hosted by Jonathan Crowe, Journalism Instructor with the College of the North Atlantic, and Karen McCarthy, Vice-President of Corporate Affairs at Fortis Inc. A total of 17 awards were presented in a variety of categories, which are listed in the attached backgrounder.
 
IABC NL was pleased to present Dr. Andrew Furey, CEO of Team Broken Earth, with the Award of Excellence for Organizational Leader. Additionally, both Glenda Power, Director of Strategic Communications with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, and Martha Muzychka, ABC, MC, Principal at Praxis Communications, received the prestigious Award of Excellence for Communications Professional.
