Planning for Inclusion (Nov. 21)
Start your work day with a discussion about inclusion and why it affects all aspects of our roles as professional communicators.
What is inclusive communications? How do we know when our materials, channels or events are inclusive?
As part of IABC-NL’s professional development series, please join us for a conversation on NOv. 21 about what it means to plan for inclusion.
The discussion will cover many considerations, including event planning, the development and formatting of websites, documents and communications materials, venue accessibility, and how to be mindful of a variety of accommodations needs.
The conversation leaders for this event are:
- Allan Angus, CNIB, Specialist in Service Coordination
- Emily Christie, Executive Director, COD-NL (Coalition for Persons with Disabilities NL)
- Leon Mills, Executive Director, Canadian Hard of Hearing Association – Newfoundland and Labrador (CHHA-NL)
- Aimee Sheppard, Senior Communications Advisor, Husky Energy
This event is also suitable for people interested in making their organizations more accessible and inclusive.
