Heidi Dixon, Business Development Coordinator, First Light

Heidi was born and raised in Gander, NL, and is a proud member of the Gwich’in First Nation. Through her work as Business Development Coordinator with First Light, she has helped to develop and expand several social enterprises, as well as developing and facilitating many Indigenous Cultural Diversity Training sessions. Heidi also has extensive experience in public speaking, social economy, and leadership training. Heidi is also very passionate about volunteering, which led to her work with Let’s Talk Science within Indigenous communities, as well as her positions on the Diabetes Hope Foundation’s First Nations & Alumni Advisory Boards.
