Melisa Valverde, Manager, Digital Communications, Eastern Health

Melisa is an experienced communications professional with approximately 15 years creating, executing and delivering high-quality communication strategies, creative campaigns and digital media planning. Melisa started her career as a graphic designer and spent four years in marketing and communications before moving to health care. In 2008, she joined Eastern Health where she gravitated towards digital communications. Currently, Melisa manages the organization’s digital channels, and leads the communications of a range of projects, issues and events. Melisa holds a Diploma in Graphic Design from the College of the North Atlantic, a Bachelor of Professional Arts in Communication Studies from Athabasca University in Alberta, and is currently pursuing a Master in Public Health from Memorial University. She is also part of Eastern Health’s Learning Leaders Program.
